Job Summary

An IT service management company has a current position open for a Telecommute Senior Database Monitoring Application Engineer.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Interpreting customer requirements and translating those requirements into a functioning and manageable database design
• Creating tools to help teams make the most out of the available infrastructure
• Designing and developing infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools

Position Requirements Include:

• Ability to integrate various technologies into complete solutions
• Knowledge of Network Infrastructure including VPNs, Routers, Firewalls, load balancing, and Switches
• Ten or more years of experience working with MySQL
• Hands on experience with large installs of Nagios / Icinga
• Experience with scripting languages, automation tools, and performance tuning
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing and configuring enterprise-wide databases
