Job Summary
A technology company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Senior DevOps and SysAdmin Engineer.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Building and managing large cloud server deployments
- Keeping our network of 100 cloud servers across 8 AWS regions and their associated services running
- Working with our existing deployments of Chef, Ansible, Consul, Terraform,ELK, Grafana, Statsd, Asterisk, MySQL, Redis, Memcached, Zeromq, Puma,Jenkins
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Every quarter, you'll travel to an in-person meeting with the entireteam to meet and work together face to face
- At least 5 years of directly applicable experience
- Experience managing large cloud server deployments that have seen realproduction usage
- Experience building distributed, failure-resistant architecture, includingdisaster recovery, backups, failover, etc
- Experience with the advanced features of public cloud platforms suchas AWS or Azure
- Proficiency with configuration management tools, such as Chef orPuppet, and fluency with at least one major scripting language
