Job Summary
A non-profit educational content organization is seeking a Telecommute Senior Engineering Manager.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Coaching engineers in the art and science of software engineering and modern software architecture
- Representing an informed engineering point of view within the organization and publicly
- Recruiting, hiring, and guiding team members as they chart their career paths
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Some travel is expected, usually 2-4 times per year
- BS/MS/Ph.D in Computer Science or other relevant technical field or the equivalent in work experience
- Deep expertise in consumer-facing internet technology for large and diverse audiences
- Established track record of managing high productivity engineering teams
- Systems thinking and data literacy
- User empathy
