Position Summary
This position will be responsible for the frontend (UI) design, implementation and maintenance of an innovative purchasing platform that serves the K-12 market. The Senior Frontend Web Developer will be part of a small, capable team that builds continuous value for customers and enables company growth.
This is initially a part-time, project based position that will require 20 to 40 hours a month. There is a strong possibility that this position will have the option of working more hours per month up to the point that it is full time.
Job Responsibilities
1. Understand and refine business requirements in collaboration with product owners
2. Technical planning, frontend design, coding, unit testing and implementation with an agile software development life-cycle
3. Develop and maintain a high quality code base
4. Consistently deliver challenging, stable and maintainable projects on schedule
Technical Qualifications
1. 8+ years designing and building enterprise-level, cross-browser web applications (preferably in an agile environment) with a strong curiosity towards new and innovative development tools
2. High proficiency in web development using C# (4.0+) , ASP. NET Web Forms, ASP.NET MVC & Web API
3. Experience with jQuery, jQueryUI, JSON, AJAX, HTML 5
4. Prior use of 3rd party controls, such as Telerik or DevExpress, is helpful
Education & Other Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field or equivalent experience
2. Strong attention to detail and quality with the desire to exceed expectations
3. Great communication skills
4. Ability to work independently but yet thrive in a high-energy, collaborative environment
