A staffing agency needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Senior Geospatial Big Data Engineer in Creve Coeur.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Designing big data solutions that leverage open source and cloud-based solutions
  • Participating in the building of large-scale data processing systems
  • Dealing with petabyte or even exabytes of data daily

Qualifications for this position include:

  • GDAL and similar spatiallibraries, OGC APIs
  • Java, Linux, C++, PHP, Ruby, Python and/or R
  • Experience working with raster and vector data sets applying GDAL and similar spatiallibraries
  • Experience developing REST style and OGC APIs
  • 2 years with distributed systems
