Job Summary
An insurance technology company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Senior Insurance Backend Software Engineer.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Designing, building and maintaining our backend infrastructure using Scala or Kotlin
- Collaborating with the scrum team to solve problems ranging from scalability and performance to architecture and feature development
- Scaling, extending, and maintaining our cross-functional APIs
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Experience with application performance monitoring
- Experience with scrum fundamentals
- Experience with and the desire to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team
- Fluency in languages on the JVM
- Thorough understanding of RESTful API conventions and web fundamentals (HTTP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Databases)
- Ability to handle ambiguity and transform it into robust software
