Job Summary
An insurance company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Senior Market Facing Underwriter AVP.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Establishing new as well as develop existing agency and broker relationships
- Influencing or negotiating with external contacts on strategic impact matters
- Persuading or countering opposition, often with vendor representatives or senior management level customers
Qualifications for this position include:
- Travel: Yes, 20 % of the Time
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience working on time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business
- Experience working in a team environment
- Knowledge of Contract Surety line/s of business and the legal and regulatory guidelines
