Job Summary

A healthcare company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Senior Medical Coder.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Reviewing medical record documentation and assigning appropriate diagnoses and procedure codes
• Ensuring accuracy and maintaining established quality and productivity standards
• Maintaining competency and accuracy while utilizing tools of the trade

Required Skills:

• 2 year/Associates Degree in HIM / Coding Certification
• RHIA or RHIT or CCS or COC & CIC
• Minimum two years acute care coding experience, to include both inpatient and outpatient experience
• Must have experience in both Inpatient or outpatient in a similar position
• Knowledge of Clinical Documentation and query processes
