Job Summary
A patient-to-payment solutions company is filling a position for a Telecommute Senior Medical Coder.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Selects and sequences ICD-10, and/or CPT/HCPCS codes for designated patient types
- Reviews and analyzes clinical records
- Abstracts clinical data from the record after documentation review
Skills and Requirements Include:
- High school diploma or GED
- One of the following active credential(s): RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, COC (formerly CPC-H)
- OR one of the following active credential(s): CCS-P, CPC, Radiology Certified Coder (RCC)
- 2+ years of technical coding experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, pathophysiology
- Ability to consistently code at 95% threshold for both accuracy and quality
