Job Summary
A managed healthcare and insurance company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Senior Medical Coder .
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Assign clinically supported ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Serve as a resource on appropriate clinical documentation to support billable codes
- Provide provider coding education as needed based on provider audits, analysis of coding trends, and common coding denials
Qualifications for this position include:
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
- 3+ years of coding experience in the outpatient setting
- Expert in ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding
