Job Summary

A financial institution has a current position open for a Telecommute Senior Mortgage Underwriter.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Underwrite conventional FHA, VA residential mortgage loans per product and investor guidelines
  • Ensure loans are in compliance with investor requirements, federal and state laws and regulations
  • Perform risk assessment of credit and collateral ensuring loan saleability and sound credit quality

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or 2 years' relevant work experience
  • 4 years mortgage underwriting experience
  • Full knowledge of credit risk
  • Understanding of appraisals
  • Thorough knowledge of DU/LP valuations (automated underwriting)
  • Thorough knowledge of conforming and non-conforming guidelines
