Job Summary

A staffing company is filling a position for a Telecommute Senior NodeJS Engineer in Austin.

Must be able to:

  • Work closely with other engineers, architects and designers on assigned tasks
  • Drive the evolution and expansion of the company's clients into new technology areas
  • Define, design and support the company's growing applications

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent
  • 6 - 8+ years of software development experience in JavaScript and related technologies
  • 3 - 4 years of experience with Node.js development
  • Some exposure to React.js development
  • Significant experience using a MVC framework
  • Experience with web interface development, frameworks and version control systems
  • Expert knowledge of HTML5, DOM traversal/manipulation and event capturing, jQuery, CSS and AWS
  • Experience in building scalable distributed systems, responsive design, touch interfaces and databases
