Job Summary

A media company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Senior Platform Engineering Developer in McLean.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing backend APIs in Golang to simplify and automate use of the cloud platform
  • Execute code reviews and challenge assumptions, and mentor others on the team
  • Provide planning for two week sprints

Skills and Requirements Include:

  • Ability to work with the company's required technologies
  • Experience developing REST APIs, SDKs and CLI toolsets
  • Experience with Agile (Scrum), test driven development, continuous integration and version control (GIT)
  • Experience deploying to Cloud compute or container hosting
  • 5+ years experience in Linux System Administration
  • Experience with Chef or other configuration management tools
  • Experience with a large scale CDN service
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
