Job Summary

A technology and data company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Senior Python Software Engineer.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Working on very high volume, low latency transactional platforms that run in the cloud
  • Participating in backlog refinement and sprint planning sessions
  • Identifying bottlenecks and recommending or implementing performance optimizations

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems and/or related work experience
  • 6-8 years of Python development experience
  • Demonstrated strong object-oriented design and programming skills
  • Experience in developing RESTful web (micro-)services
  • Experience writing unit and functional tests
  • Experience with both relational and non-relational database programming and use of ORMs
