Job Summary

A public research university has a current position open for a Telecommute Senior Research University Financial Analyst.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Overseeing financial management and budget development activities in conjunction with divisional leadership and unit heads
• Coordinating the gathering of budgetary and resource requirements information during planning stages
• Serving as liaison with internal and external constituents Reviews and approves advanced financial transactions

Position Requirements Include:

• Advanced degree in related area and /or equivalent experience and / or training
• Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, fund accounting, financial reporting, internal control systems, cost accounting, and budgeting and financial analysis
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources
• Interpersonal skills at all levels within the organization; advanced service orientation and critical thinking skills; and attention to detail
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Strong written communication skills
