Job Summary
A software company specializing in solutions for the retail industry is filling a position for a Telecommute Senior RnD Programs Learning Designer.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Conducting ongoing needs assessments with stakeholders from RnD crafts
- Articulating learning needs and fulfillment options in clear and digestible visuals and presentations
- Developing taxonomies and naming conventions to organize learning materials produced by a wide range of authors
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Extensive experience as a learning & development specialist in a corporate setting
- Subject-matter expertise in 1 or more technical disciplines: software development, data science, UX and/or product management
- Strong interviewer & user researcher; can dig past surface-level statements to identify root causes of problems & challenges
- Effective communicator who can maximize limited stakeholder time to solicit enough information to move forward
- Proven experience taking initiative to establish or change processes & standards to improve collaboration & effectiveness
- Analytical thinker that can devise & evangelize frameworks to help organize & align disparate groups around a common set of goals
