Job Summary

A shipping company has an open position for a Telecommute Senior Software Engineer.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Planning and building new features, and optimize existing ones
  • Helping the team mentor and upskilling junior developers
  • Participating in code reviews and development and design discussions

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Degree in computer science / engineering or commensurate work experience
  • A minimum of 5 years experience building web based software solutions
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Ruby, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL
  • Expert knowledge of Ruby on Rails
  • Understanding of responsive design and web standards
