Job Summary

A technical solutions company is in need of a Telecommute Senior Storage Operations Engineer in San Ramon.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee Isilon (F800) upgrades, maintenance, migrations, installations and daily operations tasks
  • Work with vendors and customers to provide storage cluster user access issue phone support
  • Respond, resolve and escalate trouble or support tickets daily (ServiceNow or similar)

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Remote for COVID shutdown
  • 4-year IT related college degree or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on EMC Isilon F800 storage engineering / administration (Linux/UNIX/Windows/VMware)
  • Operational experience in a large PB / large cluster environment
  • Hands-on using OneFS CLI for pre-staging configurations and high demand configuration updates
  • Strong knowledge and recent usage of SMB in a large scale file sharing environment
