A company that provides avionics and information technology systems and services to governmental agencies and aircraft manufacturers has a current position open for a Telecommute Senior Technical Writer.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Research and develop understanding of system, sub-system operation
• Work pro-actively with engineering and customer to procure and understand source data
• Develop and implement creative work processes and innovative work methods to maximize electronic technical data reuse and authoring efficiency

Required Skills:

• Working knowledge of Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance systems and integration on a Pilot Vehicle Interface
• Experience using or designing aircraft avionics equipment and systems
• Must be able to extract and comprehend system operation from typical engineering documentation
• High literacy in structured authoring environment
