Job Summary
A technology company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Senior Technology Application Penetration Tester in Burlington.
Must be able to:
- Perform application penetration testing and vulnerability assessments against custom built software applications
- Identify and exploit vulnerabilities in applications
- Document technical issues identified during security assessments
Qualifications for this position include:
- Infrequent travel to client or company facilities as needed (5-10%)
- A year or more of experience working in a remote capacity
- 5 or more years of penetration testing experience, with 3 or more years of specific testing experience in a consulting environment
- A focus on testing web and mobile applications
- An understanding of web architecture and protocols (HTTP(S), TCP/IP, ARP, SMTP, DNS, etc.)
- Development and/or source code review experience in at least several scripting languages
- An understanding of how data flows through an application and connected components
- An understanding of common software security issues and a variety of technologies required by the company
