Job Summary

An insurance company is in need of a Telecommute Senior Underwriter in Charlotte.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Underwriting and pricing new and renewal business
• Securing and evaluating required information to select, classify and rate risks
• Managing large volumes of communications related to insurance transactions

Qualifications Include:

• Experienced in underwriting workers compensation business
• Bachelor's Degree, or 5+ years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportion, percentages, area, circumference and volume
• Skilled at using personal computers including data entry, word processing and spreadsheet programs, and knowledge of Internet software
