Job Summary
An insurance provider is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Senior Underwriter in League City.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Underwriting life insurance applications promptly and accurately
- Accurately entering information into the life underwriting system
- Handling phone calls and emails from the field on a variety of topics
Position Requirements Include:
- 5 plus years of experience in underwriting risk selection and risk management
- LOMA courses expected
- Knowledge of risk factors, particularly medical terms and their effect on assumptions
- Knowledge of successful operation of underwriting department
- Strong organization skills, technical skills in underwriting and attention to detail
