Job Summary
A technology firm has a current position open for a Telecommute Software Engineering Associate Manager.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Managing team members, ensuring team retention, and bringing new people into the team
- Working with other engineering managers and teams to coordinate development efforts
- Performing project management tasks
Qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 5 years of significant software development experience
- Technical leadership experience
- Understanding of open source development models and how the Linux community interacts
- Prior participation in open source community software development or leadership
- Background in virtualization and experience with KVM-based virtualization
