Job Summary
A software and services provider is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Software Maintenance Engineer in Austin.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Creating best-in-class help content and proactively perform audits
- Co-developing reference architecture content
- Applying advanced troubleshooting techniques
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Be willing to travel to customer sites
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years enterprise technical support or Software Maintenance Engineering experience
- Extensive experience troubleshooting remote Linux system issues
- Familiarity with Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and SLES)
- Familiarity with IT automation software such as Puppet, Chef, and Jenkins
