A music retailer is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Software Search Engineer.

Must be able to:

  • Design and build elegant, highly performant code
  • Offer opinions on technical decisions and directions
  • Work with teams to build search and discovery features

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Experience building, evaluating, and tuning search and discovery features
  • Extensive experience with one or more of: Lucene, Solr, Elasticsearch
  • A love of Ruby, or extensive experience with another object-oriented language
  • Desire to work collaboratively on cross-disciplinary teams
  • Web development experience within the past five years
