Job Summary
An education company is in need of a Telecommute Special Education Teacher in Atlanta.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Leading students through successful course completion
- Building a virtual environment conducive to learning
- Prioritizing student needs so that each child may reach their fullest potential
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience teaching middle school
- Meets state’s No Child Left Behind’s (NCLB) Highly Qualified Teacher requirements
- Appropriate state certification for grades 6-8 and highly qualified teacher status in the area of instruction
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, as well as Internet research methods and report writing techniques
- Understanding of applicable sections of the State Education Code and other pertinent regulations
- Ability to pass required background check
