Job Summary

A computer company is seeking a Telecommute SQL Server Database Administrator.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Providing database operations support, monitoring databases and backups
  • Providing production database support with specific focus on availability, capacity, performance, security and recoverability
  • Performing database installation and configuration, tuning, capacity planning, health checks, backups and recovery and change management

Position Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field or equivalent experience
  • United States Citizenship
  • 8+ years of experience with 4+ years working as a SQL Server Database Administrator and handling production critical databases/servers
  • Installing, Configuring and Upgrading SQL Server/Applying Service Packs
  • Server and Database Security Administration
  • Experience with Backup,Performance tools and SQL Server Replication
