Telecommute Staff Accountant

Job Summary

A sustainably sourced seafood company has an open position for a Telecommute Staff Accountant.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Building strong vendor relations and oversee database of contracts and calendar of renewal dates
• Managing the general ledger and all financial records in accordance with US GAAP
• Assisting in external audit requirements related including the financial statements footnotes

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or economics
• 4+ years related accounting and external reporting experience
• Depth of experience in inventory accounting principles and best practices
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to clearly communicate with teammates
• Proven ability to succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced and constantly changing environment
• Spreadsheet super user (Excel, google sheets, etc.) with skills per pivot tables, conditional aggregation, summary statistics, and more
