A news publication is filling a position for a Telecommute Staff Home Goods Writer in New York City.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

- Request product samples and process their return
- Call experts and review academic journal articles and other scientific data
Qualifications for this position include:
- Minimum 2 years of professional writing experience
- An established home goods beat knowledge
- An innate understanding of why one would feel a need to deeply research a purchase
- An inherent skepticism of marketing claims, a science-based approach to research
- Comfort gathering large amounts of data, organizing it in spreadsheets
- Adept at finding ways to get in touch with product managers, designers, engineers, and other experts
