Job Summary

An aerospace and defense technology company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Staff Software Engineer.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Administering and maintaining customer’s databases and hosting platform
  • Participating in database design and development
  • Monitoring, tuning, and optimizing Greenplum database performance

Qualifications Include:

  • Ability to travel 25% to data center
  • Must live within a 2-hour commute of New Carrollton, Martinsburg, Memphis, or Detroit
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics
  • 14 years of experience in software engineering, or Master's and 12 years
  • 6+ years of experience with Greenplum database administration & tools
