Job Summary
An insurance company is filling a position for a Telecommute Strategic Business Communications Manager.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Taking end-to-end hands-on ownership and command of the proposal process
- Creating project charters and work plans to lead the kickoff and launch of RFP responses
- Identifying and engaging with critical subject matter experts and decisions makers
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Ability to travel approximately 10% of time
- Demonstrated understanding of the proposal development process and management techniques
- Working knowledge of state Medicaid/CHIP, Medicare Advantage, and commercial programs
- Ability to work an average work week of 40-50 hours with extended hours if needed (including weekends)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Communications or a related field
- A minimum of 10 years of independent proposal development/management experience with state/federal government RFPs
- A minimum of five years of experience in a healthcare business development environment
