Job Summary
A global healthcare company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Strategic Initiatives and Provider Contracting Vice President.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Within the Arizona market, leading the technical operations of the commercial and Medicare Advantage Contracting functions
- Contributing to and executing the market's strategic planning, direction and evaluation of the Contracting departments
- Partnering closely with leadership from key internal teams to develop and implement a market strategy to support medical cost improvement and profitable growth in this market
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 8 years managed healthcare experience
- Extensive experience in provider contracting and network development involving complex hospital systems, integrated delivery systems and large physician groups
- Proven excellent knowledge of hospital and managed care finance
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of managed care regulatory environment and compliance issues
- Ability to lead and participate in market-based vendor negotiations
