Job Summary

A chemicals and plastics company is filling a position for a Telecommute Structural Auto Application Development Engineer.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Initiating projects for new business opportunities and communicating requirements to Product Development Engineers
  • Working with sales and platform teams to identify new structural applications at Tier-1 and OEM customer accounts
  • Supporting formal material approval process at OEM's

Position Requirements Include:

  • Must be able to deliver complex technical presentations to large groups
  • Experience with using 3D CAD design tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, and/or Unigraphics
  • Degreed in a relevant engineering discipline
  • 8+ years Automotive experience with an in-depth knowledge of plastic applications associated with automotive structural systems
  • Experience with engineering simulations for plastic application designs
  • Experience working with the engineering organizations of automotive OEMs and tier suppliers
