A staffing agency is seeking a Telecommute Surgery Certified Coder in Knoxville.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Working General, Vascular and/or Bariatric Surgeries
- Working denials and gather any information in order to appeal
- Researching new codes
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Must hold a national coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA
- Able to work with a busy practice
- HIPAA savvy
- Experience doing CPT-4 procedure coding
- Experience working with outsourced billing companies auditing the work they have coded and sending back
- Knowledge of medical terminology
