Job Summary

An optical industry platform is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Technical Application Support Engineer.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Acting as an escalation point for advanced customer issues
  • Assisting with all support cases during periods of heavy volume
  • Leading support efforts for customers who have been determined to have Critical value

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Technical Support or a customer-facing technical role
  • 5+ years prior experience in support of complex, Linux based enterprise software applications
  • 2+ years experience supporting Kafka, Kubernetes and Docker components as part of a larger solution
  • 2+ years of SQL experience
  • 3+ years Linux administration
