FREELANCE
TRADEMARK CLEARANCE PARALEGAL
Remote | Nationwide
Our freelance trademark clearance paralegals are responsible for conducting preliminary clearance searches and related reporting using the search and reporting criteria defined by our clients. If you are an attorney, this role does not require analysis of search findings, only conducting the preliminary clearance searches.

Qualifications | Education and Experience

At least seven years' current experience conducting trademark clearances
Must be proficient with SAEGIS custom searches
Knowledgeable using USPTO systems, including TESS, TEAS, and TSDR
Strong research skills (legal and fact)
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Meticulous to detail and ability to follow client instruction
Must have a private office, reliable computer, high speed internet, and Adobe Acrobat Pro

Expectations

Freelancers must maintain a private office, and have a reliable computer with high speed internet and Adobe Acrobat Professional
Freelancers should be flexible and available during business hours
Freelancers must communicate their availability during business hours
This role is required to uphold the ethical standards of the profession
ILS expects freelancers to produce desired results and outcomes for work
This is a 1099 Independent Contractor opportunity
