Job Summary

A social networking community is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Trust and Safety Director.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Build escalation procedures that enable the company's team to report inappropriate content safely, swiftly, and securely
  • Manage and lead a team of content moderators who enforce community guidelines across the platform
  • Implement best practices that address digital abuse, risks, trust, and safety

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Experience managing content moderators who are reviewing content that may be inappropriate for users
  • 5-7 years of experience developing and leading a trust & safety team at a social media company or user-generated content platform
  • Strong problem solving ability
  • Aptitude for critically analyzing data, legal requirements, and product limitations
  • Experience with de-escalation procedures and crisis management
