Job Summary

A staffing company is in need of a Telecommute Unix and Linux Systems Administrator.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing 3-Tier environments that includes, Dev, QA, and Prod
  • Monitoring system performance or event logs for normal operations
  • Evaluating and applying system and security patches to ensure the security and stability of the environment

Required Skills:

  • Experience working in a medium or larger data center supporting Physical and Virtual Unix/Linux systems
  • Through knowledge and working experience with the multiple major vendor specific Unix/Linux operating system
  • Knowledge of related products (storage, database, communications etc)
  • Knowledge of standard networking ports and protocols
  • Experience with patch management solutions
  • Strong knowledge of IT Service Management terms and processes
