Job Summary

A lender needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute VA Underwriter in San Antonio.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing and monitoring daily workflow of your files and being an expert on agency loan guidelines
  • Making sound decisions on loans regarding credit worthiness of borrowers
  • Working closely with Wholesale Brokers, Account Executives and Operations Staff

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Minimum of 4 years current FHA and VA underwriting experience in a wholesale or retail environment
  • DE / SARS / LAPP designation required
  • Current knowledge of RESPA and MDIA regulations
  • Strong knowledge in “A” Paper, FNMA/FHLM and FHA/VA programs
  • 4 years AUS experience
  • All other requirements necessary for this position
