Job Summary
A company that provides healthcare documentation, medical coding, and auditing solutions is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Veterans Affairs Inpatient Lead Coder.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting with Lead Coder Responsibilities
- Answering IP coder questions
- Coding the minimum per-chart per-hour productivity, with 95% accuracy or higher
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Active AHIMA/AAPC coding credentials
- Minimum 2 years’ experience
- Ability to follow coding guidelines, VA Guidelines, and all Official Coding Guidelines
- Must be experienced with 101 abstracting, 401, 501, 601, and 701 Screens
- Must be available to code and lead during CENSUS time
- Must pass inpatient case study coding test
