Job Summary

A cloud-based communications service provider needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Virtualization Engineer III.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Plan, manage, administrate, and support company's VMWare environment
• Manage multiple virtual servers on a single host machine, as well as HA clustering with multiple hosts utilizing DRS
• Install server operating systems and service packs, as well as ensure quarterly security patches and bug fixes are up to date

Qualifications Include:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, computer programming, or 6 years of working experience in a technology-focused environment
• A minimum of 4 years of experience managing an enterprise VMWare environment
• Proficiency working with Cisco UCS Blade systems, VMWare network connectivity and design, vMotion and Storage area networks
• Extensive knowledge of the fundamentals of VMware ESX and related technologies
• Working knowledge of guest operating systems, including multiple Linux distros (Debian, CentOS, RedHat, Ubuntu), and Windows Server
• Exceptional analytical and technical aptitude with excellent communication and collaboration skills
