Job Summary

A non-profit media company is in need of a Telecommute WordPress Developer.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Maintain and improve existing codebase comprised of themes and plugins
  • Help guide website architecture in collaboration with other developers
  • Work with Webmaster and other developers to troubleshoot content, availability, and performance issues

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer - preferably 4-5+ years
  • Good understanding of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, NodeJS, and SQL
  • Experience implementing responsive design and across platforms and browsers
  • Ability to convert mockups and wireframes into working web pages
  • Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats and build custom WP API endpoints
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning with Git
