Job Summary

An insurance company providing workers’ compensation insurance directly to businesses is filling a position for a Telecommute Workers Compensation Insurance Staff Accountant.

Must be able to:

  • Develop and maintain documentation of current accounting policies and procedures
  • Support year-end financial statement audit by preparing workpapers and working directly with external auditors
  • Partner with the Finance team to analyze historical results and improve information quality

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 2 years of relevant public accounting or industry experience
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting operations
  • Organized, detail-oriented and deadline-driven
  • Strong communication skills of all types
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets
