Job Summary
A school is seeking a Telecommuting 2018 to 2019 Middle School Science Teacher.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Perform special projects, during and after school hours, and other duties as assigned
- Actively participate in marketing and student recruiting activities as necessary
- Work closely with Special Education and 504 teachers to ensure accommodations are implemented
Position Requirements Include:
- Ability to travel as necessary (i.e. field trips, class trips, trainings, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree with a passing score on an ExCET/TExES Exam in grade level or content area to be taught
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, State Teacher's Certification as Elementary Generalist or Elementary Self-Contained Teacher
- Have a graduate degree in online or distance learning; Have two or more years of documented experience teaching online courses for students in Grades 3-12; AND successfully complete continuing professional development specific to online learning every three years
- Passion for students
- Well-developed communication skills in both an in-person and online environment with various stakeholders including, but not limited to, students, parents, colleagues, administration, and central office personnel.
