Job Summary

An educational solutions company is filling a position for a Telecommuting Academic Project Director.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Aligning district systems, resources and structures to support evolving academic strategies
  • Developing and executing approaches that will improve the quality of instruction at scale
  • Creating high-quality, data-driven reports demonstrating the effect of newly created models on quality of instruction

Required Skills:

  • Frequent travel up to 50% annually is expected
  • Strong familiarity and expertise with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) required
  • Deep knowledge of content and instruction, with at least four years Pre-K-12 teaching experience
  • Experience as a lead practitioner in a school system that has adopted the CCSS and/or a deep conceptual understanding of the instructional shifts
  • Experience with the role of complex text in ELA instruction, research-based approaches to foundational literacy skills and/or the Standards of Mathematical Practice, and the major work of each grade
  • Experience managing complex projects or organizational change efforts
