Job Summary

A nonprofit organization with a focus on the death penalty is seeking a Telecommuting Anti Death Penalty Campaign Director.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Planning and conducting education events in key districts where constituent support is needed
• Overseeing and coordinating with organization's full-time organizer and contract lobbyist
• Drafting a comprehensive media plan (traditional and social media)

Required Skills:

• Ability to travel and a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle required
• Must be passionate about ending the death penalty in Washington
• Experience with the media including serving as a spokesperson, drafting press releases and op-eds, responding to media inquiries and/or developing pro-active media strategies
• Three years of experience with political or issue campaigns, activism, grassroots organizations, and/or lobbying preferably in Washington state
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, both written and oral
• Experience with online organizing and communication
