Job Summary

A communication service provider needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommuting ASL Fluent Residential Division Account Manager in Newark.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing onsite and remote support to assigned customers following the initial installation of products and services
  • Focusing on increasing customer bases through new customer acquisitions
  • Developing a network in the deaf and hard of hearing community by creating a pipeline of opportunities

Position Requirements Include:

  • Ability to travel, including out of state travel is expected
  • American Sign Language (ASL) proficiency required
  • Knowledge of the deaf culture, and familiarity with products and services that support the communications needs of deaf people
  • Knowledge of relay services, products, and relay systems and how they function
  • Skilled in using specialized software related to departmental operations including database, Internet, spreadsheet, instant messaging, presentation, and word processing programs
  • Excellent human relations and outreach skills including the ability to interact with people of varying communications levels in the deaf and hard of hearing communities
