A technology platform has an open position for a Telecommuting Backend Engineer.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Enjoying coding at all layers, focusing mainly in the backend
- Learning whatever is necessary to get the job done
- Writing clean, elegant, simple, testable code
Position Requirements Include:
- Must have been actively coding in Python or Java for at least 5 years
- Must have excellent algorithmic and coding skills
- Must feel comfortable in learning and eventually using each of these
- Must know how to efficiently and properly design relational databases with a deep understanding of what affects query performance
- Must know what the conceptual difference is between PostgreSQL, Cassandra or Kafka, and RabbitMQ
