Job Summary

A software company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommuting Big Data Processing Specialist.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Writing software that is highly fault tolerant, producing repeatable results
  • Designing and building sophisticated systems to process, analyze, search, and visualize massive amounts of data
  • Inventing new ways to extract intelligence from a myriad of unique data sources

Required Skills:

  • Extreme proficiency with very complex SQL Queries
  • Extreme proficiency with Python and specific experience with Multiprocessing
  • Extensive ETL Experience with very large datasets (many Terabytes) in multiple formats
  • Experienced in a Linux environment
  • Extensive experience designing, admining, scaling, and managing extremely large MySQL Databases
  • Experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3)
