Job Summary
An interpretation company is filling a position for a Telecommuting Bilingual English and Chuukese Interpreter.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Facilitating understanding in communication by faithfully interpreting, into the target language, everything being said without adding, omitting or changing anything
- Maintaining impartiality and show no bias or preference toward either party while interpreting
- Maintaining the highest level of confidentiality as well as abiding by the code of ethics for interpreters
Qualifications for this position include:
- Must be fluent in the languages to be interpreted
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
